Standard Pocket Sprung

Organic Coconut (Coir) fibre

We use a needled organic coir fibre layer either side of of our hand nested pocket springs to give an effective protection layer between the springs and the softer tufting materials. Our Coir comes from the only certified organic planation in the world and is made exclusively to the thickness and the density that we require. Coir gives long lasting protection to the springs springs while still allowing the flexibility for the independent movement

Wool

We use 2 types of wool tufting in our Pocket Sprung mattresses. The first type is carded and needled to give extra loft to the mattress with a thick layering of lambswool. The second type of wool we use has a unique anti-dustmite treatment, which is made for the essential oils of lavender, eucalyptus and lemon. Our anti-dustmite wool is sourced from Soil Association certified Devon farms and is scoured and washed in water from the river Dart in Devon on the edge of Dartmoor. State of the art technology ensures that all water used in washing the wool is recycled into the river with no environmental impact, and all waste from the wool scouring process is recycled as organic fertiliser on neighbouring farms. This whole process dramatically improves our carbon footprint by reducing the number of miles required to supply our wool

Pocket Springs

Our pocketed spring units are hand nested within a firm rod frame and are made using the latest spring technology.  By adjusting the gauge of the wire used in the springs we can vary the finished tension of the mattress to be either soft, medium or firm depending on the customer's preference. Each individually nested spring is held in its own pocket for completely independant movement allowing the mattress to flex to the shape of your body and provide the best support for your spine and therefore your overall comfort.

Cotton

All our covers are made with 100% unbleached cotton. This is both durable and hard wearing, but most importantly is breathable. Unlike synthetic materials cotton enhances ventilation whereas synthetic fabrics can be hot and sweaty, cotton is cooler and more breathable and enhances the benefits of the natural fibres inside the mattress.
