Horizontal stitching complements a soft padded shape.

It’s all in details, as they say, and with the Halyard, it’s in the seams. Our most popular headboard shape is given a smart new outfit, with two stitch lines creating very neat, subtle horizontal stripes across the frame.

A variation on our classic Lanyard, The Halyard features two horizontal stitched lines that complement the classic symmetry and squared corners. Perfectly proportioned with that little bit extra.

Each Halyard Headboard is made by hand to order in our Devon workshop, and comes stuffed full of our signature locally sourced organic wool, for a cosy, breathable headboard perfect for snuggling up against with a good book.

Very few headboards are made the way we craft them

Handmade in Devon, properly

We handcraft our headboards in our Devon workshop using traditional joinery techniques which ensure they last a lifetime. Unlike most headboards which are simply stapled together, ours are glued (using organic glue) and screwed for a much sturdier and longer lasting construction. And because we make everything ourselves, we’re always happy to accommodate bespoke requests like making headboards taller or wider, or indeed creating something entirely unique.

The natural difference

Many of the same natural and organic fibres in our mattresses feature in our headboards too. We start with FSC-certified timber for the frame and layer on organic coir or recycled denim depending on the design. The headboard is then wrapped in locally sourced organic wool before being finished with one of our natural fabrics. The result is a natural headboard, completely free of synthetic foam and chemical fire retardants, which will provide years of comfort.

What You Need To Know About Delivery

  • When can I expect delivery?

    Our current delivery time for headboards is 4-5 weeks. We’ll be in touch the week before your delivery date to discuss a convenient time and talk through any access issues for your property.

  • How will my headboard arrive?

    Your headboard will be delivered in a reusable duffel bag in one piece, unless you specify otherwise. So please check it will fit up the stairs before placing your order!

  • Will you help me build it?!

    Yes, fear not! Our headboards are delivered by our own two man team who will take it up to your bedroom, assemble it for you and bring the reusable duffel bags back to our workshop.
