Delivery
Delivery is free of charge and our current delivery time for mattresses is 8 weeks. Please ensure the size you choose will fit up your stairs, around any corners, and through any doorways on the way to your bedroom. If you’d like us to take away your old mattress when we deliver please add The Mattress Recycling product to your basket. You can find more info below or on our Delivery page.

Clever Covers
In the UK there are strict fire safety standards that mattresses must pass before they can be sold. The majority of manufacturers achieve this certification by treating their products with chemical fire retardants, but this never sat right with us. So we developed a unique covering fabric, woven with a blend of organic cotton and wool, that met the safety requirements without the need for any chemicals whatsoever.
We are also the only mattress manufacturer to add a hypoallergenic finishing process to our covers. We treat them with an Oeko-Tex certified geraniol treatment to guarantee protection from dust mites and bed bugs - perfect for allergy sufferers, whose conditions are often triggered by these unwelcome bedfellows.
Handmade in Devon
At Naturalmat, we believe that people, not machines, make a superior, long-lasting product. Our team of craftspeople ensure every stitch, every fibre, every tufting button and every cover is painstakingly created, teased and checked. That’s why we proudly stamp ‘Made by hand in Devon’ on all of our mattresses.
Sustainable Packaging
We’ve never liked the idea of delivering our beds and mattresses in reams of bulky, plastic packaging - so we challenged ourselves to get rid of it altogether.
In 2021 we introduced these sturdy, waterproof reusable delivery bags, which were specially made for us in the UK. We now deliver almost all of our beds and mattresses in these reusable bags, saving over 5,000kg of single-use plastic since their introduction.

My Superb Mattress arrived in June and not only is it physically a thing of beauty and great craftsmanship but it has welcomed the best nights sleep for years! We are extremely happy with our Naturalmat mattress. The quality is outstanding, and it has made a real difference to our sleep. Most importantly, since we bought it, my wife’s persistent nighttime cough has completely stopped. We can’t say for certain whether it’s due to the natural materials or the improved sleeping environment, but the difference has been remarkable. Took a little while to settle and get to sleep but here’s the amazing thing … in the morning when I got up I commented I actually ‘FELT TALLER’!!
My spine had obviously benefited from the superior mattress, and, I didn’t feel as though I needed to go back for more sleep.

We were recommended Naturmat and the Superb by friends. They said it was the best mattress they’d ever slept on, and that was good enough for us. We haven’t had many mattresses in our lives but this is undoubtedly the best ever. Pricey on the face of it but when we compared it with mattresses in a top store it wasn’t, so great value as well as comfort. Highly recommended.

What You Need To Know About Delivery

When can I expect delivery?
Our current delivery time for mattresses is 8 working weeks. We’ll be in touch the week before your delivery date to discuss a convenient time and talk through any access issues for your property.

How does my mattress get to me?
Our mattresses are delivered by our own two man team who will take it up to your bedroom and get it all set up. We deliver our mattresses in reusable duffel bags (rather than plastic) which we will then take away again.

Can you take away my old mattress?
Absolutely! Please add the Mattress Recycling product to your order and your old mattress will either be recycled, or if it’s in good condition, it will be cleaned and donated to charity.
