Meet the Luca. Our first ever cot.
The Luca is handcrafted from sustainably sourced European pine, with rounded, softly finished edges and a design that’s built to keep up. Three adjustable base positions see it through the baby years, then it converts simply into a toddler bed thanks to the included conversion rail.
The Luca Cot comes with our award-winning, 100% natural and chemical-free Coco Mat Mattress, which we handcraft in our Devon workshop. Inside the mattress a core of organic coconut fibre provides the firm support babies need, whilst layers of breathable organic wool help them regulate their body temperature.

Our Story.
Our founders Mark and Peter began making mattresses for boats over 25 years ago, looking to improve on the typical uncomfortable slabs of polyurethane. They opted for entirely natural fibres for their breathability, temperature control and comfort.
Following the birth of Mark's son Luke, he discovered that cot mattresses were also made entirely from synthetic fibres with nasty plastic covers. This led to the development of our 100% natural cot mattress, the first of its kind, and the start of the Naturalmat Baby story.
